Marked with the cross of Christ forever, we are CLAIMED, GATHERED, and SENT for the sake of the world.
Claimed (Come and See) by God's grace for the sake of the world, we are a new creation through God's living Word by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Gathered (Come and Grow) by God's grace for the sake of the world, we live among God's faithful people, hear God's Word and share Christ's supper.
Sent (Go!) by God's grace for the sake of the world, we will proclaim the Good News of God in Christ through word and deed, serve all people following the example of our Lord Jesus, and strive for justice and peace in all the world.
1) Jesus is Lord
“Not just any Jesus, but this Jesus on the Cross, a suffering Jesus, eating with sinners. As Lutherans we know that God always comes down. We can never be good enough to go up to God.”
2) Everyone is welcome
“As Lutherans, we know we are holy and sinners at the same time. So how can one draw lines if we know this?”
3) Love changes people
“Something happens when we meet the God who loves us and welcomes us home.”
4) Everyone has something to offer
“If you meet Jesus, you get a job. Every one of us is called to be a disciple.”
5) The world needs what we have
“This gift of grace that you’ve been given is not for you alone. It’s for the entire world. God wants to bless the world through you. Our calling is to be the “image of Christ” in the world.”
