Calvary’s fourth “Wild Women of Faith Retreat” took place the weekend of October 23rd to the 25th.  That weekend, forty six women traveled to the “Life Enrichment Center” a Christian retreat and conference center located under the oak trees on the shores of beautiful Lake Griffen in Fruitland Park (just north of Leesburg).  The serene setting with the labyrinth, outdoor chapel, Butterfly Trail and wonderful sunsets offered us a perfect place for reflection and relaxation.

 
This year our retreat, Faith in the Midst of Our Laundry Pile, focused on finding faith and joy even in the ordinary everyday –often sometimes overwhelming- circumstances of life.”  It offered us a wonderful opportunity to rekindle old friendships and make new friends as we explored the heartbeat of our faith through study, drama, readings, small groups, music, crafts and much more.  Did I mention how much FUN we had?  The retreat began on Friday the 23rd and culminated with a wonderful worship service which took place lakeside at their beautiful outdoor chapel.
